Heartland Proclamation Stirs Up Controversy

July 13, 2011

The Presbyterian Layman – a conservative publication focusing largely on issues facing the Presbyterian Church – released an article today observing that the Heartland Proclamation “has ignited lots of debate” across the internet. Curiously, while the article devotes significant space to quoting ministers who oppose the Heartland Proclamation, none of them are Presbyterian.  The only Presbyterians named in the article are those who have signed the Proclamation,  from Illinois to Oklahoma.   If you’re looking for a great Presbyterian church to attend in a Heartland state, this article may help narrow down your search!
